Mormon Arts Center

The Mormon Arts Center is an independently-funded organization that celebrates and studies Mormon Arts. The Center seeks to organize, produce, and promote events such as festivals, workshops, performances, symposia, and exhibitions with the goal of bringing forth a deeper and more inclusive understanding of the creative works of Mormon artists, past, present, and future. The Center publishes scholarship that places artwork by Latter-day Saints in the context of world art, and writing, such as this exhibition catalog, that documents the Center’s activities.

The Mormon Arts Center has a three-fold mission: to display and perform Mormon art in New York City and elsewhere; to publish scholarship and criticism about Mormon art to reach a wider public; and to establish a comprehensive archive of Mormon Arts, 1830 to the present.
